Facilities & Real Estate
Facilities & Real Estate (FRE) is responsible for ensuring that the University of Toronto’s physical infrastructure reflects the scale, ambition, and global standing of its academic enterprise. The office plays a central role in aligning campus infrastructure, capital investment, and real estate strategy with the University’s academic priorities and long-term sustainability.
A member of the senior leadership team at the University of Toronto and together with a team of executives leading Facilities & Services (F&S), Real Estate Partnerships (REP), Spaces & Experiences (S&E), and University Planning, Design & Construction (UPDC), the Vice-President serves as principal advisor on matters related to campus planning, infrastructure strategy, capital investment, real estate development, and the effective management of the University’s physical assets while enhancing the environments in which teaching, research, and student life take place.
